Typography

This is the text I have been focused on as of late.
I have been reading the Hunger Games series,
and I am currently on the second book.
I am enjoying watching these pages fly by.

You With 17 Things

Here I am with an assortment of 17 things from around my house.
Some of the things I grabbed include a new sweater,
my Harry Potter wand, a favorite game, a map of a place I love,
a cookbook, popcorn and some stationary.

March Calendar

March Photo Challenge

My sister-in-law Alisa
spent the month of February doing a photo-a-day challenge.
I had way too much fun looking at her daily blog posts
that I wanted to participate in my own.
Everyday I will post a picture around the topic that is provided.
Here's to a month of pictures!

An Evening with Oscar

Joe and I hosted our first annual academy award party.
We had a lot of fun planning, reviewing the 2011 movies we had seen,
preparing food and getting a few games together.
Here is the feast that we prepared!
Concessions are a must for every movie we see.
Why not enjoy them for the biggest night for all movies?
Everything at our party was tied back to a movie
that we had seen throughout the year.
It was fun going back through our movies.
And poking fun at them a little bit too...
The Sloppy Pos were a crowd favorite!
I think all of the desserts were my favorite part.
I left out one of the ingredients from Minny's pie...
(can you guess which one)
These magical cupcakes transformed into your favorite flavor.
Throughout the night as were enjoying all of that food,
we had individual ballots to keep track of who had won what.
We also played Bingo!
I think everyone came away with a least one Bingo.

We are already looking forward to next year,
and planning all over again.

Some Good Ole' Home Cookin'

Doesn't that soup look fabulous?!?!
I have had a severe craving for french onion soup for weeks now.
It all started when I was sick and in need of some good soup.
We went to Zupas (0ne of our most visited restaurants)
and to my surprise they had some french onion soup.
I snarfed it down and we went back again for some more enjoyment.
Sadly, it was a seasonal soup
and I was left to my own devices in order to survive.
And homemade crostini with cheese to go with it.
Finger licking good....
and it satisfied my craving completely.
